Nat Hentoff

Nat Hentoff is a nationally syndicated columnist and commentator on the First Amendment, on the Bill of Rights in general and on other issues. He is a senior fellow at the Cato Institute in Washington, D.C. He has also been a contributing editor to Editor & Publisher and written for The Village Voice.

Hentoff’s many books include The First Freedom: The Tumultuous History of Free Speech in America, Free Speech for Me But Not for Thee: How the American Left and Right Relentlessly Censor Each Other and Speaking Freely: A Memoir.

Hentoff lives in New York.
