Thank you BILL KENWORTHY for this very helpful roundup. It is rich in citations that might be useful for an overlooked but burgeoning field of private use of photography in private forums that are controlled by the photographer.

Call for Strategic litigation to Stop Infringement of Petition Right via Photography;
Video Camera Surveillance Systems on Private Residential Property.

The State of California, and presumptively other states as well, routinely illegally threatens to incarcerate property owners who photograph trespassers upon and users of their property even when the photography is by stationary video cameras which capture only events occurring within boundaries of the private property of the photographer.

Anyone else interested in coordinating strategic litigation which will stop this illegal infringement for every citizen protected by the Constitution is encouraged to contact fritzkoenig [at] hushmail [dot] com. In particular, methods of getting the issue into Federal Court are sought.

Video surveillance of anyone using property owned by the videographer is pursuant to First Amendment petition right as preparation for such petition by incidental photography to capture, collect, and communicate evidence of abusive use of that property. Simply put, operation of video surveillance cameras which capture events occurring within the boundaries of private property is constitutionally protected. Nevertheless, people are illegally enjoined from this activity by errant trial courts.

OftenThe State invokes this threat via the quick and dirty summary procedures of so-called civil harassment laws which were never designed to facilitate nor do they support the due process needed to mount a proper First Amendment defense nor conduct a proper First Amendment analysis even as most civil harassment laws explicitly acknowledge that "constitutionally protected" activity may not be enjoined. Simply put, the civil harassment laws grant extraordinary power to trial court judges, are ripe for abuse, and provide a near perfect vehicle to circumvent constitutional protections of due process, free speech, and petition.

The only thing that borthers me about this whole case is do we have all the facts about it? To any one who has serve in any one of the services, how many times has a person come up to you and stated I have this or that or I should have been given this medal or that one. I know in my stay it's happen a lot. So now does this mean we need to call a cop, FBI, SS or some other gov. office every time this happens? Now the other point which I don't think many know about is on the medal of honor their are a few recipients that want to be unknow and want to stay that way. So are they lieing because of this? I give this report to see your self:American civil war: 1.522
Indian Wars: 426
Korea Expedition: 15
Spanish American war: 110
Filipino American war: 86
Boxer rebellion: 59
Mexico expedition: 56
Operations in Central America: 17
First world war: 124
World War II: 464
Korea war: 133
Viet Nam war: 246
Battle of Mogadishu: 2 (Gary Gordon, Randall Shughart)
War in Afghanistan: 2 (Michael Murphy, Jared Monti)
Iraq war: 4 (Paul Smith, Jason Dunham'Michael Monsoor, Ross McGinnis)
Peacetime: 193
unknown or secret: 9
Branch

United States Army: 2.405
United States Navy: 746
United States Marine Corps: 297
United States Air Force: 17
Now take a close look at the fact that we have (unknown or secret: 9) this is the way they wanted it too be for what ever reason which are their own.... On top of this after civil war was over congress took back about 3000 MOH's cause they were given so freely. Even today their are 4 people up for it but because of the job they do and maybe want to do after their tour of duty have their names with held... Their is a lot more at stake here then just one or a few liar;s
OK to me this is a liar, my opinion! Any one who said anything and then does not do what they have said! I think that take in to acount 98% of our own gov. The one thing on this is if you are running for office and say (promise) to do this or that when you get in and then you dont well now that is pure fraud, why cause you got the vote as payment to do what you said and you did'nt do it or even try too!!!

I was arrested years ago on a drug charge; first offender. I served probation and was told my "conviction" would not count, would not show anywhere other than with law inforcement if I was re-arrested for a felony. I was also told could answer "no" on any job application when asked if I had ever been arrested or convicted of a felony. So someone please explain to me why I should have chosen to take the first offender guilty plea based on what I was told, rather than risk being found guilty without that option, however all anyone has to do is google my name and there I am, basically defeating the purpose! Also makes me look like a liar to any perspective employer if this pops up.
I hope someone sues you for everything your pathetic site is worth and figures out a way to win.

It's disgusting that people do this, practically treason. Realistically the spineless justice system we have probably won't do anything to punish this dirtbag but the should at least give him and all others like him a hefty fine.. They should make a registry for guys like this, kinda' like the sex offender registry except for military frauds that way they're pariahs wherever they go, I think it's a good solution. By the way love the name spaghett, nice to see other Tim and Eric fans exist lol.

When will journalists learn that military medals are not "won", they are EARNED or AWARDED and those receiving them are RECIPIENTS. Using words like "winning" or "won" implies that there is some sort of contest going on.

George Washington himself was the basis for the Stolen Valor Act - it's pretty evident that the Founding Fathers never intended for lies and deceit to be covered as "free speech".

I'm in the military so I especially think people who lie about stuff like this are terrible. It happens all the time though, you know how many people claim they were in special forces? A ton, it's gross.

Still there is the whole first amendment thing to consider so maybe we can just like add his name to a list of other liars, and like tar and feather him or something? That sounds fun.
