The New York Times reports that the intelligence agency wants a former FBI counterterrorism agent to delete “scores” of passages or make other changes in his book, The Black Banners: The Inside Story of 9/11 and the War Against Al Qaeda.

The CIA says some of the information in the book is classified. Author Ali H. Soufan calls the redactions “ridiculous.”
