Tuesday, May 31, 2011

In part 4 of its series on the First Amendment, the network carries an interview with First Amendment Center Scholar David L. Hudson Jr. on the freedom-of-assembly case Hurley v. the Irish American Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual Group of Boston (1995), in which the South Boston Allied War Veterans Council refused a place in the St. Patrick’s Day parade for the group.

Previously, C-SPAN Radio has featured Hudson discussing the 1997 indecency case Reno v. ACLU, the 1974 case Miami Herald Publishing Co. v. Tornillo, and Wisconsin v. Yoder (1972).
